Western astrology or Human Design: which should you read?
They answer different questions. Western astrology is strongest on psychological pattern and motivation. Human Design is strongest on how a person is built to make decisions. Run on one identical birth they do not contradict each other so much as describe different things.

The real difference
Human Design is built on the same ephemeris as Western astrology and reads it through an entirely different lens: gates and centres rather than signs and aspects. The underlying positions are identical, so any disagreement is interpretive.
Both read your birth, so both describe something stable. Neither will tell you whether to act this week.
Which should you use
- Western astrology if your question is about psychological pattern and motivation.
- Human Design if your question is about how a person is built to make decisions.
- Both if you want to know whether a theme holds up when the machinery changes. That is the only thing reading two systems buys you, and it is worth more than it sounds.
